Creating a global network of hubs

Portable Powder Blending, a multi-localized network

Blendhub’s ability to bring more food to more places is made real in their production hubs, Portable Powder Blending Hubs are mini Food and Beverage factories that can be sent and deployed anywhere in the world in a matter of weeks.

With all hubs being connected in the cloud thanks to Siemens technologies, food products, and every single ingredient, can be authenticated and processed, enabling the perfect adaptation and replication of recipes, anywhere around the world.

All modular hubs are internationally certified and share the highest food quality standards, processes, and equipment.

By deploying these production hubs closer to raw material sources and final consumers, Blendhub is optimizing the end-to-end efficiency of the whole supply chain.

Becoming a Digital Enterprise

As a Digital Enterprise, companies are able to seamlessly combine the real and digital worlds with Siemens’ comprehensive Digital Twin approach and make confident decisions with higher accuracy.

A Digital Twin is a digital representation of a physical asset or process (e.g., product, machine, production, plant), that evolves with the lifecycle, and helps to define and optimize the product and production system before investing in industrial assets, reducing the need for physical prototypes.

Simulation plays a crucial role in the food and beverage industry by providing a virtual environment to model and analyze various aspects of production, distribution, and other processes. In this case you can see how the different powders are blended inside one of Blendhub’s production hubs.

This so-called Industrial Metaverse opens to a wide variety of applications where the convergence of the physical and virtual reality in an industrial environment helps to integrate digital technologies to transform industrial processes.

Siemens automation, the brain of the network

Blendhub’s network of hubs are powered by Siemens automation systems. Each PPB uses their innovative PLCs (programmable logic controllers), which act as the central brain of each machine. It's like having a smart manager overseeing all the production processes.

This system controls and oversees various tasks, ensuring ingredients are loaded, blended and packed correctly, taking care of production traceability during each step.

TIA (Total Integrated Automation) and HMI (Human Machine Interface) allow operators to easily monitor and control the production in real-time, providing a clear picture of what's happening in the PPB.

Siemens Automation systems collaborate with other systems in the factory, such as inventory and quality control, to create a seamless and efficient process, allowing for remote monitoring and control, enabling managers to oversee operations from a distance and make adjustments as needed.
